My wife introduced me to a book she had about Marian apparitions, of which there were several detailed (8). All had been reported to the authorities at the Vatican and investigated, deemed miracles.
I enjoyed reading about them, but the one that became foremost in my further study and research was the series of appearance by the Virgin Mary in Fatima, Portugal, where three poor village children (two girls and one boy) first witnessed this presence on May 13, 1917. Those children were told to come back each 13th for another meeting, with the children told to put more attention in their Catholic studies. The children reported this to people and each month more and more people would accompany them to the site of the apparitions and see if they could see anything holy. On the last appearance, on October 13, 1917, a message was given to the children to give to the pope, which was to reconsecrate Russia. Failure to do that would lead to the end of the Church, as shown in a horrid vision of that future, which made the children scream and cry to stop showing them such death and destruction.
On that last appearance, the crowd had grown to many thousands of witnesses, with news of this spreading around the Roman Catholic world, drawing many faithful to come be near the children and watch. That day was rainy, with heavy overcast clouds. When the time came for the children to see Archangel Michael, who would introduce the Virgin Mary, the people reported that the clouds parted, and the sun danced in the sky. So many people reported having seen this, the Church deemed that the Miracle of the Sun.
Within a year after the last apparition, the youngest girl and the boy died from an influenza epidemic, leaving only the eldest girl, who reported to local Church officials and to a Cardinal sent to interview her. She wrote letters to the pope, which the Vatican did not make public for many years, with one letter (the one foretelling of the end of the Church) never fully released, causing people to refer to that as the “Secret Third Letter.” The Internet has multiple sites that list what has been made available; but the Church never approached Russia or the Soviet Union (under Joseph Stalin), due to fear. After Pope John Paul II was given the letters to read, he declared the collapse of the Soviet Union ended the threat of the Virgin Mary.
Regarding this, an assassination attempt on Pope John Paul II severely wounded him on May 13, 1981. After he recovered, a second would-be assassin (supposedly a nun, at Fatima during a memorial service for that miracle) was stopped on May 12, 1982. This told me that the issue was not settled, and Roman Catholics were mad at the Church’s failure to reconsecrate Russia, as instructed divinely.
It was the vision Sister Lucia (the survivor who became a nun) that drew my interest, because when my wife gave me her book to read, I was already well down the path that I am still on, relative to The Prophecies of Nostradamus. The vision that so frightened her and her cousins is what Nostradamus wrote in the quatrains, where he goes into detail about this end of the Church. This led me to analyze the text of the 1568 Lyon edition (the reprint of the 1566 edition, with corrections made) and find that Nostradamus wrote key terms that linked what he wrote to what Sister Lucia wrote, where both witnessed a future through divine means. One key term is the word “virgin” (Vierge or vierge).
That led me to write the second of my instructional books that show how to apply divine syntax to the quatrains and make sense of that written. The aspect of repeating words is not to be overlooked or ignored, as these terms link the quatrains together, telling a specific sub-story with the greater whole. The name of that book (published in 2013) is Nostradamus & Our Lady of Fatima. I believe it is a good book to read; but, alas, very few people have purchased it. I have given away more copies, free to friends. Still, I would like to present the front cover of this book for your entertainment.
